Long Term Opportunities

Paradigm Shift

Time Commitment: Variable

Background: Paradigm Shift is a new science outreach organization that will connect middle school and undergraduate students in an impactful, enjoyable, and effective science learning experience outside the classroom. Graduate/Undergraduate and middle school students will work together in small teams to explore a scientific topic, and to create a final product that illustrates the concepts they learned. These learning tools will then be used in science outreach initiatives in public settings. Through active learning and mutual mentorship, students at both middle/high school and college levels will develop critical skills, improve science literacy, and gain a deeper appreciation for science while sharing it with others.

Mission: Our mission is to cultivate a paradigm shift in student perspective, and to use science to motivate and equip students to achieve their best in any life endeavor.
